RENTAL POLICY AND DEPOSITS

​Captain / Renter must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license to rent a boat.

A 50% Booking Deposit is due at the time of booking and will be applied to the rental fee. Payment for rental fees, gas, and supplies may be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or cash. Credit card payments are processed when received. A check will be mailed for any refundable cash transaction. No cash refunds will be made.

SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT

Upon arrival we require a "CASH" (green money) $500.00 Security/Damage Deposit for ALL HOUSEBOATS and $300.00 for Party Barges and Small Boats paid in "CASH".

This deposit is fully refundable providing the boat is returned undamaged, clean, and with all boat inventory intact.

SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSITS can only be made in "CASH / GREEN MONEY".

 

CANCELLATION

The initial reservation deposit (1/2 of total rental) is "Non-Refundable or Transferable".

If you cancel or become unable to use the boat for the dates reserved, we will attempt to rent the boat to another party.

If Skippers Cove Marina is “UNABLE” to "re-book" the boat for the time period of your reservation, no refund or credit will be issued.

If Skippers Cove Marina “IS ABLE” to re-rent the boat for the time period of your reservation, Skippers Cove Marina will refund the initial reservation deposit less $100.00

 

FORM OF PAYMENT

Payment for reservation deposits, rentals, fuel and supplies may be made by cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Credit card payments are processed when received. Personal checks are NOT accepted. Damage Deposits are to be made in CASH ONLY.

 

REPAIR & REFUND POLICY

SKIPPERS COVE MARINA is committed to making your Houseboat / Boat Rental Vacation as trouble free as possible.

Please understand that there are many operational parts on a houseboat / rental boat, several of which can fail unforeseeably.

Although there are NO REFUNDS given for such failures, it is our commitment and responsibility to repair the problem in a timely and efficient manner. This can only happen if we are made aware of the problem at the time it occurs.

Should you experience failure of any kind, please notify the Marina immediately. Renter understands that refunds are not given for inconveniences due to houseboat / rental boat malfunctions.

 

FUEL

The fuel tanks will be full at departure, and will be re-filled at the primary Renter's expense upon return of the vessel. All gas used is the primary Renter's responsibility. Fuel expense will be taken out of SERCURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT upon return of the vessel. 

ABSOLUTELY NO gasoline containers, gas cans, gas refueling stations or apparatus may be used in, stored aboard or transported on any Skipper Cove Marina vessel.

Use of gas other than Skippers Cove Marina Forfeits deposit and you could be charged up to $5,000.00

 

NO REFUNDS FOR LATE ARRIVALS

NO REFUNDS OR DISCOUNTS WILL BE MADE FOR LATE ARRIVAL OR EARLY RETURN.

SKIPPERS COVE MARINA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OF RUNNING TIME DUE TO EQUIPMENT FAILURE, WEATHER, ILLNESS, ACCIDENTS OR CHANGES IN PLANS.

 

PARKING

Please be aware that parking may be limited during peak season.  Please carpool if possible.

If you are staying on the lake overnight you will be required to purchase a Camping Permit.

 

WE ARE PET FRIENDLY

SKIPPERS COVE MARINA is pet friendly.  Any excessive cleaning required upon departure of pet hair, urine, etc. will be charged to the SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT starting with a minimum $100.00 for the first hour and $25.00 per hour after the first hour.

Any damages will be charged at replacement cost.

All pets are required to be on a leash at all times.
