  • What time of day do we start our voyage with a rented houseboat?
Your reservation begins at 4:00 pm. You will need to check in at the marina store when you arrive. At that time you will complete and sign some paperwork, pay the balance of the boat rental and pay the Refundable Security / Damage Deposit of $500.00 CASH (which is held until the end of your trip). Once that is completed, the Captain and First Mate will be taken over to the houseboat by a crew member to explain the operation of your rental. At that time your guests will be able to board and bring their belongings and provisions aboard. A crew memeber will be driving the 3 Large Houseboats (Camelot, Nirvana, & Oz) out of the marina (dock to buoy line) so we ask that you instruct your guest to be at the dock no later than 5:00 pm unless someone is bringing an additional boat or renting a small boat from the marina to use as a shuttle.
  • What time do we return the houseboat?
Houseboat rentals end at 2:00 pm on the last day of your reservation. A crew member will be driving the 3 Large Houseboats (Camelot, Nirvana, & Oz) back into the marina from the buoy line so we will be instructing the Captain to call the marina when they are just outside the marina (bouy line). You will need to allow enough time to unload the houseboat and clean up so that you are ready to check-in before 2:00 pm. This means that you should have your boat reasonably cleaned, and all your trash and personal belongings off the boat. You should plan to arrive with ample time to dock. After your boat is docked and cleared out, it will be fueled and checked off by a dock attendant.
  • What if we return the houseboat late?
Houseboats are generally reserved to go back out at 4:00 pm so if you are late returning, you are inconvienencing the next group / family. Therefore, we discourage late returns by charging a LATE RETURN FEE in the amount of $100.00 per hour or any part there of (example: 20 minutes = $100, 1 hour 10 minutes = $200 etc.)
  • Can I fish from the houseboat?
Yes! Fishing is a favorite activity for houseboaters. There are several species of fish at every location, including bass, rainbow trout, brown trout, kokanee, bluegill, and catfish. The type of fish "running" will depend of the season, the weather, water temp, the moon, etc. The marina store has a good variety of bait and tackle for optimizing your chances of catching fish, wheather you're a novice or expert.
